Welcome to the weekend, and welcome to the Saturday 7.
Faithful stewards are cultivated – not born with a special gift. Sometimes, good stewardship develops over years of steady, committed giving. Other times, it's learned through hardship, through learning to trust God when it's not easy. Often if comes after a number of failures and obstacles have been overcome. The latter was what happened with Joseph. God remained with him through a succession of trials because he had an extraordinary plan for Joseph's life. He has one for yours too.
We can ask God about anything, but does that include our money and possessions? Of course, you already know the answer. If we are stewards, if we are on a journey of increasing generosity in all areas of our lives, doesn't it make sense to ask the master how he wants us to steward what he's given us? Randy Alcorn shares a second list of questions you can ask God. (If you missed the first one, you can find it here.)

When you donate appreciated stocks or mutual funds, what you save on taxes can mean more for ministry, and you can claim the value of the donation as a charitable deduction for 2021. If your stocks have appreciated, donating them is a great way to increase your support for the causes close to your heart.
