The Saturday 7 team is taking Christmas off, but we’ll be back January 1 with a special edition.

Welcome to the weekend, and welcome to the Saturday 7.
We talk a lot about Giving Strategy. We want you to be strategic, to plan your giving and make sure you’re doing it in the wisest ways. But there are times when the Holy Spirit leads you to do something that wasn’t planned at all. Don’t miss those moments. We encourage you to have eyes to see and ears to hear about the opportunities for spontaneous generosity the Lord is putting in your path.
During the rest of the year, we strategize our giving, but are we giving our kids enough opportunity to do the same? Here's a simple challenge you can do with your kids this season to practice generosity and experience what it feels like to give something they've been given away.
Sometimes the people who most need us to see them are right in front of us. Remember, many people are feeling lonely this year. But, according to a recent poll of U.S. adults conducted by Barna, the younger a person is, the more lonely he or she feels. Take some time to show a younger person they are loved.
Last weekend, five states suffered devastating storms and tornadoes. Our local team in Kentucky has people on the ground finding the best ways to help.
The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
– John 1:5
Thank you for shining like stars in the universe, for piercing the darkness with your generous acts, for being light in so many dim places, for finding joy and sharing it with others.
Saturday 7 is brought to you by our team at the National Christian Foundation (NCF). We would love to help you create your Giving Strategy, so you can experience more joy and adventure as you pursue a life of generosity. Find an NCF location near you at ncfgiving.com/locations.
